Foundation 4Life First Response: Disaster in Haiti News Photos
Haiti-earthquake

Salt Lake City, Utah (January 14, 2010) On Tuesday, January 12th at approximately 5 p.m., an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter Scale devastated the capital of Haiti, Port-au-Prince. Haiti shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. The island is part of the Greater Antilles in the Caribbean Sea.

Felix Augustin, Haiti’s consul general to the U.N., describes Port-au-Prince as “flattened” and believes that more than 100,000 citizens may be dead from the disaster; two million Haitians became homeless overnight and lack food, water and shelter. 4Life executives urge distributors in the United States and around the world to support relief efforts with a contribution to Foundation 4Life.

Steve Tew, 4Life President: “If you don’t contribute to Foundation 4Life’s Haitian relief effort, we encourage you to donate to the Red Cross or some other non-profit that is on the ground working to save lives during this crucial period.”

A group of 4Life distributors lead by Gold International Diamond Esdras Cabrera in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, are preparing to drive two truck loads of Foundation 4Life food, medical supplies and other dry goods to Port-au-Prince. The trip covers 150 miles.

“Haitians are in desperate need of the basics right now,” says Bianca Lisonbee, 4Life Co-Founder and Foundation 4Life Chairwoman, from satellite in Milan, Italy. “Food, shelter, medical attention and love. It’s this kind of disaster relief that our 4Life network of international distributors are so uniquely qualified to support. The people of Haiti require our service and I appeal to 4Life distributors everywhere on their behalf.”
