Building a Difference

Pachacutec-Ventanilla is a settlement located in the hills of Ventanilla, Peru. The inhabitants live in extreme poverty, without running water or adequate shelter. Recently, Presidential Diamond Carmen Madge Chavez spearheaded distributor support to provide some love to the children of this impoverished village. Carmen made contact with coordinators for Ayuda Vive to host a "Chocolatada" event for kids in Pachacutec-Ventanilla. It consisted of chocolates, Christmas cakes, a musical entertainment show, and toys, clothing, and food gathered by 4Life distributors and their family and friends. After the first activity, 4Life distributors in the area are anxious to organize future events in support of the children. "The service aspect of 4Life is very important to us leaders," said Carmen. "To reach out to others in the community, and to do it with love, is the most important thing we can do."
