(November 2012) Foundation 4Life recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of two new community centers in Indonesia. The centers are located in villages in South Cianjur, West Java and will focus on prenatal care and early childhood development. These services will provide the best possible development opportunities during the early stages of life and prepare children for entering primary school.
Construction and labor costs, as well as children’s playground equipment, for the two centers was made possible through a $10,000 Foundation 4Life donation to the Adopt a Village program, an arm of the IBU Foundation, who helped to oversee the project.
“As these remote villages receive only minimal government support, especially in connection to educational initiatives, there was a great need for this kind of community facility,” said Foundation 4Life Director Tracie Kay.
Gold International Diamonds Dr. Eduard Hutabarat and Katharina Sihombing represented distributors at the ribbon-cutting event. 4Life representatives included Vice President, International Steve Apple, Foundation 4Life Director Tracie Kay, Foundation 4Life Coordinator Jenna Lisonbee, 4Life Indonesia General Manager Deddy Aryadi, Operations Manager Isman Amar, Operations Manager Assa Kalalo, Finance Manager Maya Desiana, and several other 4Life Indonesia staff members.
