December 2010 — After the devastating Indian Ocean tsunami on December 26, 2004, Australian police inspector Peter Baines founded Hands Across the Water to help the thousands of children left homeless by the disaster. In December 2010, 4Life Australia and New Zealand contributed to the well-being of these children by presenting a check for $4,500 AUD to Baines. Distributors from both countries contributed money throughout 2010. 4Life Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Evelyn Thom said, “Hands Across the Water does amazing work. They continue to care for children whose lives were shattered by the tsunami. 4Life is proud to be able to help in some small way.” http://handsacrossthewater.com.au
