(December 2013) Foundation 4Life made a product donation in excess of $242,000 to the annual TODAY Show toy drive. The donation included VTech® tablets, backpacks, school supplies, and 5,250 bottles of 4Life® products. 2013 was the company’s seventh year participating to the toy drive, to which Foundation 4Life has donated in excess of one million dollars in goods. 4Life’s annual participation in the toy drive is done in conjunction with other Direct Selling Association (DSA) member companies. This year, the tablets and school supplies went to the South Dakota Head Start program to help families who were affected by recent storms that devastated their livelihood. The children who receive Head Start services live in poverty. The Foundation 4Life donation will help children ages zero to five years old with emergent literacy and school readiness. “One little boy asked his teacher why the bag felt so heavy,” commented Youth & Family Services Communication Coordinator Brianna Reiner. “Once he opened the bag and saw the school supplies inside, he looked up and told his teacher, ‘This is just what I needed!’” Brianna continued, “Another child who was very excited about the new school supplies wouldn’t stop hugging her bag. She was very excited to have her very own notebook in which to draw and write.”
