On August 15, 2013 Foundation 4Life teamed up with Feed the Children for their “Student Strong” back to school event. This year’s event provided support to many of the children and families who were impacted by the May 20th and May 31st tornadoes in Oklahoma. The event also aimed to help make going back to school a fun and encouraging experience for the many students who were last in school when these tornados hit. When these life altering tornadoes first touched down, 4Life distributors and employees from 17 different counties reached out by donating thousands of dollars to help in recovery efforts. Each of these donations were then matched by Foundation 4Life. Thanks to these generous donations, Foundation 4Life was able to make a substantial donation to the “Student Strong” event, and help provide educational opportunities to children in need. This donation provided an entire semi truck filled with backpacks, school supplies, non perishable food, personal care items and household goods, which went directly to one of the hardest hit cities, Moore, Oklahoma. Students and their families who attended “Student Strong” enjoyed a carnival party complete with free games and food. Needed services were also provided free of charge at the event including haircuts and an eye glass clinic. Each child left with a backpack full of school supplies, and each family was given a $25 gift card to purchase additional needed items. Over 3,200 families in five different Oklahoma suburbs received help through the “Student Strong” back to school event. Thanks to the generous donations of 4Life distributors and employees many individuals who lost so much in the tornadoes received the food and personal items they needed to help relieve the financial burdens of sending their children back to school.
